Cudeman MT-10 (332-JR): the compact EDC that now wears red Juma
The Cudeman MT-10 (332-JR) arrives revamped to reclaim its place among everyday-carry (EDC) folding knives. This generation leaves behind the old hollow grind and swaps it for a distinctive flat grind, designed to meet what is asked of a pocket tool today. The result is a secure, precise-cutting piece in a format so small that it reshapes the idea of what an everyday knife can offer.
Reasons to carry it every day
- Refined cutting geometry: the flat grind improves penetration and blade solidity compared with the original versions.
- Maximum portability: at just 35 grams, it goes unnoticed in a pocket or on a keyring.
- Up-to-date materials: the satin red Juma adds toughness and a modern grip over the classic organic materials.
- Safe, straightforward handling: the piston system holds the blade firmly so you can tackle daily tasks with confidence.
The steel and how the edge behaves
The blade is made from molybdenum vanadium steel with a hardness of 54/56 HRc. It is a steel prized for its toughness and for handling corrosion well in urban environments. Between the flat grind and the satin finish, the cut comes out clean and resharpening is simple and rewarding, so keeping a useful edge asks very little maintenance even after demanding use throughout the day.
Structure and robustness
Cudeman produces this model entirely in its workshops in Albacete, with a 2.0 mm thick structure that gives it remarkable firmness for its size. The assembly is set with a steel pin, which keeps the chassis compact and free of play over the years. The blade is secured to the body with Allen screws and internal threaded bushings. Despite being a highly capable EDC, its design prioritises cutting efficiency and is not intended for prying or for replacing other tools.
Handle and control in real use
The satin red Juma handle with a black spacer is a bold aesthetic choice and, at the same time, a commitment to durability under continuous use. Juma is a high-strength synthetic with a comfortable, secure satin feel, even in damp or cold conditions. Its 6.5 cm handle has been tuned to offer full control over the drop-point tip, making guided, detailed cuts feel natural.
Sheath and carry
It comes with a black faux-leather sheath finished with matching red stitching, designed to keep other metal objects in your pocket from rubbing against the piece. As is customary with Cudeman, this sheath is made in-house at the workshop and ensures a precise, lasting fit. The hole in the handle also accepts a ring, so the knife can travel alongside your house keys and always be on hand when needed.
Where it shines
- Urban everyday carry (EDC): ideal for opening parcels, separating fibrous materials or handling office tasks discreetly.
- Everyday personal use: its light weight and size make it a natural companion on a keyring or in the fifth pocket of your trousers.
- Backup cutting: a perfect second tool when you need millimetre control that larger pieces cannot provide.
Care and maintenance
- Being red Juma, you only need to store it in a dry place while it is not in use.
- Wipe the blade with a soft cloth after each use to remove moisture or adhesive residue from the packaging and keep the satin finish intact.
- Now and then, place a drop of light oil on the piston axle so opening and closing stay smooth and precise.
- Check that the spring channel does not build up lint or dirt, so blade retention keeps working like the first day.
The Cudeman MT-10 (332-JR) is a pint-sized travel companion that draws attention with its design, its colour and its sporty look. Available at Navajeria with shipping across mainland Spain.
