Description

Cudeman MT-6 (328-WF): bushcraft in a folding format

The Cudeman 328-WF brings the character of a survival knife into a folding-knife format. It is the folding version of the celebrated MT-1 and the larger sibling of the well-known MT-4. Made by Cudeman in Albacete, it is designed for anyone who blurs the line between everyday carry and the most demanding outing, with a presence that commands attention.

Reasons to choose it

  • Size with authority: its 23.5 cm overall length delivers the reach and leverage that many folding knives fall short of in field work.
  • Secure lock: the liner lock holds the blade firmly in place and lets you work hard without surprises.
  • Quick deployment: the blade thumb stud allows fast one-handed opening, while the jimping along the spine offers a non-slip thumb rest when pushing with force.
  • Striking pommel: integrated into the base of the handle, it adds a useful impact function in emergency scenarios.

Steel and edge

At 11.0 cm, the blade is crafted from Bohler N-695 steel hardened to 59/60 HRc. This high-end steel stands out for combining great toughness with notable corrosion resistance. The pairing of a drop-point tip and a 3.0 cm blade width performs more than capably whether skinning game or working wood.

Construction

Unlike conventional folding knives, the 328-WF features a guard in satin-finished A304 stainless steel that reinforces the junction between blade and handle. The whole assembly is fully adjustable thanks to stainless steel Allen screws and internal brass bushings, allowing thorough maintenance and eliminating any lateral play. It is worth remembering that this is still a folding knife and not a full-tang piece: forcing it as a pry bar or a hammer can ruin it, damage that would fall under misuse and would not be covered by the warranty.

Two-tone Micarta handle

The two-tone Micarta handle offers far more than an eye-catching finish. Micarta is a practically unbreakable composite that is unaffected by moisture, sweat or temperature extremes. Its ergonomic 12.5 cm profile lets the palm wrap fully around the grip, ensuring a firm hold even with a tired or wet hand.

Sheath and carry

To carry its 235 grams, the knife comes with a sheath in quality black leather (Ref. 601-NR). Handcrafted, it holds the knife in a vertical belt carry, protects the mechanism and keeps it always ready to hand.

Where it fits

  • Bushcraft and survival: right at home building shelters, carving wood or making batoning cuts backed by a 2.8 mm thick spine.
  • Outdoors: a reliable companion on trails where you want the power of a knife without giving up the discretion of a folder.
  • Tactical and rescue use: the striking pommel and fast opening make it ideal for anyone who prioritises mechanical reliability.

Care and maintenance

  • The two-tone Micarta takes plenty of abuse, but after contact with mud or resins it is best to wash the handle with water and a mild soap.
  • Keep the blade clean and place a drop of light oil on the pivot and the liner so that deployment stays smooth.
  • Check the tightness of the Allen screws from time to time to restore the ideal structural tension.
  • On the leather of the sheath, a specific conditioning cream applied occasionally keeps the leather supple and protected against the elements.

The Cudeman MT-6 (328-WF) bridges the knife-making tradition of Albacete with modern survival engineering: a piece built to endure where others give way. Available at Navajeria with shipping across mainland Spain.
